Outside yoga tomorrow (Sunday) is on!

The summer solstice is almost upon us! We have had two outdoor practices at the Rose Garden so far and last week we reflected on how being outdoors forces us to be in touch with the rhythm of nature. We follow the sun as it moves across the sky so that we can practice in the sun or shade as needed. We watch the clouds drift across a blue sky or the leaves flutter during Savasana. We observe the Rose Garden flora and fauna grow and change week after week.
After a dry summer last year with not much of a bug problem, our challenge was mosquitoes the first week on a very warm, humid, still day. Last week a strong breeze ensured we were bug free. And this week? The sun will be out, the temperature will be perfect but the ground will probably be very soggy from a full day of rain. Yes! Practice is on. Yes! You can always practice in your home via Zoom. Either way, I invite you to join us. I cannot wait to see you there. If you are coming to the Rose Garden, consider bringing a towel or blanket to place under your yoga mat to absorb water and keep your mat dry. And remember your bug spray. :)
The schedule and location of practice are updated on my website. You can get to the website by clicking on the picture of me at the top of this email. You do not need to register unless you need the Zoom link to practice online. Enjoy the long, luscious days of summer. See you soon!
